Eric Hernandez, a distinguished graduate of the renowned
Brooks Institute of Photography, is well versed in
the visual design industry. With strong backgrounds
in graphic design and illustration, Eric adds a much
richer development to creating his photography. He
has worked with prominent creative directors and design
groups developing image branding for companies throughout
the country, and continues to grow throughout Hawaii.
His
contributions have been recognized in magazine print
by such publications as The White House Press Photographers
Annual, Los Angeles Times Magazine, Architectural Digest,
Veranda, Coastal Living, Sunset, Better Homes, Angeleno,
Riviera, Estates West, COAST, Outside Magazine, American
Photo and National Geographic Traveler. Eric has
also contributed to a number of catalogs including “The
Pottery Barn,” “ Eddie Bauer,” “Patagonia” “Barclay
Butera Furnishings,” “Tamron/Bronica”, “Sinar
Bron” and “Nikon.” Eric has been a
constant contributor to “The Territory Ahead” catalogs
and his images have appeared on many covers as well
as being displayed nationwide throughout their stores.
Eric’s has been recognized and awarded in many
industries including several outstanding photographic
achievements in the building industry both in California
and in Hawaii including: The Golden Nugget Awards, The Laurel Awards, MAME,
BIA, ASID. Eric’s personal achievement awards
include “Best Black & White
Print in the Nation” (Kodak); seven World Medals from the New York Film
Festival for audio/visual production for a West African documentary; a Mickey
McGuire High Achievement Portfolio Scholarship; a Eddie Addams High Achievement
Photo Essay Scholarship and a photographic award from “National Geographic
Traveler” for an African photo essay on “The Magual-100th
Year Anniversary.”
